I established the Nurse Shawna 2015 website to provide essential health education and consultation services. However, I encountered difficulties related to billing through health insurance, and I am actively following the Commission for Nurse Reimbursement to remain informed about their ongoing healthcare overhaul initiatives.

The Nurse Shawna 2015 project, developed during my BSN Nursing Capstone course, focused on enhancing patient care through innovative nursing practices. Overall, Nurse Shawna 2015 reflects my commitment to advancing nursing excellence and improving the quality of care in clinical settings.
Advocating for Nurses
During my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, I recognized the importance of advocating for both my patients and fellow nurses. I conducted research on the reimbursement challenges faced by nurses and was disheartened to learn that we are not permitted to practice independently, despite our ability to perform nursing diagnoses and interventions autonomously.
